Our History

Calvary Baptist Church began as a Sunday school in the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. SinClair in the summer of 1950. Following a revival meeting, the group voted to organize a church. On December 31, 1950, the church was organized with 24 charter members. The church was received into the Orange Blossom Baptist Association (now the Greater Orlando Baptist Association) in February of 1951. The first service in the original building was held on Easter Sunday, April 13, 1952. The church grew, and the current Worship Center was dedicated in 1971. Over the years, Calvary has been served by eleven pastors. Pastor T.J. Klapperich was called in August of 2022.
